We are thrilled to celebrate Amund Williams, who has been selected for the MSVMA All-State Jazz Choir! This is a historic first for Big Rapids — no BR student has ever earned this honor until now!
Amund is one of only four basses in the entire state of Michigan chosen through an incredibly competitive audition process. He’ll take the stage at the Michigan Music Conference this January, representing BRPS with Cardinal pride! ❤️💙
But that’s not all…
Our Musical Theatre Ensemble has once again been selected as the alternate for the All-State performance — the same distinction they earned last year! If an ensemble steps down, our talented students will be ready to shine. 🌟

This month, our Board of Education recognized our Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) and Booster Clubs that support our schools. In attendance were representatives from the Brookside PTO, Eastwood PTO, Riverview PTO, Middle School PTO, Sports Boosters, and Band Boosters. These individuals dedicate countless hours to supporting our students. In particular, their fundraising efforts have created SO MANY meaningful opportunities for Big Rapids students, and their commitment makes a lasting difference in our schools and community!

BRHS Art Club is hosting an art fundraiser! The members of the High School Art Club created clay creations with the intent of having their art find a new home. Proceeds from this event will go to the purchase of materials for the club members, with the other 50% going to a local non-profit. Please support our club!
This event is on December 19 from 5-7 pm in the BRHS Food Court.
