The kindergartners at Eastwood Elementary got to participate in Global Play Day on February 7th.Global Play Day helps promote the importance of unstructured play, fine motor skills, team work, and fun. Each of the 9 teachers had a different "play" activity in their classroom. All students rotated to the different rooms every 20 minutes. There was crafts, playdoh, The Floor is Lava, kitchen sets, different types of blocks, magnets, puppet shows, Legos, board games and much more.

Halls of Eastwood!
All of our classrooms have been working hard lately on different projects. Everyone enjoys seeing their name on the birthday board, the creative snowmen, Martin Luther King, cardinals and primary color projects in art class, and many more! Some of our teachers have enjoyed decorating their doors as well.
Eastwood Elementary is selling Smencils (smelly pencils) for
$1.00 each.
They are being sold in the office starting today January 29th and will be selling them every day until supplies last! Don't worry we have a lot!!

Big Rapids Public Schools is under a 3 hour delay this morning, Thursday, January 25th as a result of the heavy fog.
There will be no school Wednesday, January 24th as a result of inclement weather.
We are so excited for Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr, presented by Big Rapids Middle School!
