🎉 Celebrating Our Principals! 🎉

At last night’s Board of Education meeting, we took a moment to recognize our incredible principals in honor of National Principal Appreciation Month! ❤️

Each principal received an embroidered lunch cooler featuring the BR logo — a small token of appreciation for the big impact they make every single day.

Thank you to our principals for leading with dedication, heart, and a commitment to helping every student thrive. We’re so grateful for all that you do! 🙌

Book fair is ready!! Students will be going Tuesday- Thursday during the day to shop the Book Fair! During parent teacher conferences we are open 4-7pm. Teacher wish bins are out as well. They are always thankful for any donation to their library!

October is fire safety month! Big Rapids Fire Department came today and gave a presentation about fire safety to our students. Almost every class was able to see the fire truck up close! Ms. Roberts class was learning about the fire truck when they got a call about an emergency on the highway. They were able to see the fireman quickly put their gear on and the fire truck race off! Mrs. Hughes and Mrs.Thomas' class will be able to see the fire truck another day since they missed it due to the rescue.

Eastwood has Detroit Lions Pride!

ECSE students made Ten Apples on Top crafts after reading the book in class! They turned out great!

What a beautiful and fun day at Anderson Girls Orchard for our Young Kindergarten field trip! Our students had a great time. They got to enjoy a doughnut and cider, tractor ride to pick an Apple, feed goats and play on all of the play structures, and enjoy many animals Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for coming along for the fun as well!

Parents: Don't forget to get online and sign up for the School Store. The students love coming and getting their Book Buddy stuffed animals!

We learned about the French Horn today in music and Ms. Roberts brought hers in to play for us.

Happy Custodian Day!! We are so appreciative of Mr.Darwin and Mr. Bill! They go above and beyond for our students and staff everyday. Our students love seeing and interacting with them in the hallways as well. Our school would be a mess without you two!

What an AMAZING Math Family Night! It was great to see so many families enjoy pizza, interact and play many different math games with their families, and walk away with a free book!

Thank you to Carter's dad, Mr. Wyman, and the rest of the City of Big Rapids crew for stopping by our playground fence to show us some of the eir equipment. They were also a part of fixing our sidewalk and keeping our students safe! We appreciate you!
