Volunteer/Visitor Rules

All volunteers must have a criminal background check done before volunteering in our buildings.  A volunteer is defined as anyone who must be with a student one-on-one somewhere alone.  Example:  weekly classroom volunteers, university teacher volunteers, etc. 

Volunteer/Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) forms can be acquired either at the office of the building at which you would like to volunteer or from BRPS Central Office.  

If you wish to volunteer:  

Please complete the Volunteer/ICHAT form (including a copy of your picture ID or Drivers License) no later than two weeks prior to volunteering. Contact the office of the building at which you plan to volunteer to be assured your form was processed.
