Student Council Mayor, Isabella

The Big Rapids High School Student Council has proudly announced Isabella Caserta as the School Mayor for the 2024-25 school year. A familiar face in student leadership and extracurricular activities, Isabella has been actively involved in student council since her freshman year, as well as participating in cross country, track, and the Mecosta County Youth Advisory Council (MCYAC).

In her new role as student body mayor, Isabella is excited to lead her peers and oversee key events throughout the school year. "As mayor, I work with my advisor, Ms. Britton, and the executive board to lead student council meetings every month. We also help oversee the planning of activities for the school when it comes to Homecoming, our annual Haunted Trail/Haunted Hallways, Holiday Spirit Week, Snowcoming, and Prom," she shared.

Isabella attributes her love for leadership to her involvement in student organizations and athletics. "Student Council, in particular, taught me many valuable skills that I will use this year in leading the school. I love seeing how our decisions and activities affect student life and the community of Big Rapids," she said.

As the newly appointed School Mayor, Isabella is eager to make the most of this opportunity and is looking forward to a successful year ahead. "I am very excited about this school year because I know it will be a great one," she added.

Congratulations to Isabella Caserta, and best of luck in your year of leadership at Big Rapids High School!
